Don’t look away—Hegarty Mansion Otherwise known as Ravenwood Manor, is waiting to reveal its  secrets! Nestled in the quaint town of Beccaria, PA, this eerie estate, built in 1865 by Samuel and Josephine Hegarty, has a history steeped in mystery. What spirits linger within its walls? Keep reading to uncover the chilling tales and paranormal encounters that make this mansion unforgettable!

 With its creaky doors, 12 foot ceilings and the general heaviness of the home, you may feel uncomfortable as soon as you enter the Gothic Mansion. The Hegarty’s raised 3 sons in the home, Son Wade passed away at 77, Allison at 82 and John at 77. Their father Samuel died at a relatively young age of 63 and Josephine lived to a ripe old age of 97. It is said Samuel loved the home so much he refused to leave even after his death. Josephine has also been known to make her presence known. 

The Hegarty sons could also be occasional spectral visitors to the home. 

But are there other spirits here? On our exclusive tour we will investigate and find out who or what else may be haunting this home. 

Hegarty Mansion is a private family home most of the year but in the Fall it is transformed into Ravenwood Manor, a haunted attraction, to instill fear and fun to all who enter. Often when locations open up to this type of activity, it can invite negative spirits that may be lingering in the area. This will seem to them a welcoming location during that time of year. So what does Samuel and Josephine think about their home being used in such a fashion? We can ask and find out! Do they try to block any negative spirits from entering the home? Do they protect those that live in the home? Questions that we can ask during our investigation. 

As we wander the magnificent halls of Hegarty Manson, a majestic 1860’s estate , with its  Intricate chestnut woodwork and inlaid glass doors, a testament to the workmanship of that era. We will see 27 beautiful restored rooms with 12 bedrooms, 5 fireplaces  

a quaint summer kitchen and a gorgeous library. With Regal parlors and a secret mystery room, there is so much to take in! The home remained a private residence until 1993 when it was purchased and used as a psychiatric hospital, adding to the mystery of this magnificent home that The current owners are restoring to its former glory.
